After a day of acclimatization at the serene village of Ghiling, the race will start sharply at 9 AM.
Ghiling village is the last forbidden kingdom of Nepal.
One of the most striking features of Ghiling village is its ancient architecture, which has remained virtually unchanged for centuries. The houses in the village are built from locally sourced materials, including stone, mud, and wood, and are constructed using traditional building techniques.
Your race start altitude will start at approx. 3500 meter, you will then run thorough Lo Gekar Gompa (or Ghar Gumba) which is one of the oldest and most significant Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in Upper Mustang, Nepal, dating back to the 8th century and built by Guru Rinpoche, contemporaneous with Tibet's Samyé Monastery, known for its ancient murals, chortens, and unique history as a "house monastery".You will then make your way to the summit of the race at 4280 meters; and make your way to thr finish line at your final destination, Lomanthang at approx. 3800 meters.
