Organization
Pokhara Trail Race Series was established to offer a platform for trail runners of Nepal to train hard and prepare themselves for international trail runs. Our mission is to provide a fun environment with distances between 2km- 5km trail races to help
ease new runners and kids into the trail running sports's world, and 30K to 100K distance races to experienced and advanced runners to challenge themselves and train for bigger championships.
We started our journey of trail race on November 4th, 2017, when we organized our first race “Khaun Dhada Run”.It was a Grand
Success and was a sports news in Kantipur Newspaper the next day. We had 97 participants and Mira Rai was present as a chief guest
for the event. We gifted her rupees 50,000 as a recognition award to encourage her in her trail running journey with the help of Sangrila Development Bank, Pokhara branch.
In year 2023, we invited another icon of Nepal, Guru Hari Rokaya, to our Panchase ULTRA event and recognized his contribution to Nepal running community and awarded him rs. 50,000 to support his ongoing journey. Since the initial trail race, we have now organized 8 well-managed trail running events. In our previous race " Chasing Sunrise: Methlang Run" which was held on July 22, 2023, we had 194 participants, including many runners from 7 different countries.
PTRS is a revolution for the trail running sports in Pokhara/Nepal, that brings the global trail running community and sports tourism together by offering exquisite trail running events.

Pokhara ULTRA is dedicated to the development of Trail Race Sports, uplift trail running icons of Nepal and their vision, save ancient trails and it's history; and promote Trail running Sports Tourism in Nepal.
